NGRE Fellow: Safer Grbić
Safer Grbić is currently in the process of defending his doctoral dissertation in philosophy (Doctor of Science, expected in May 2023) titled "The End of Philosophy and the Posing the Question of Europe's Future in the Works of M. Heidegger" (supervisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Una Popović) at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zagreb. During his doctoral studies, he was a CEEPUS scholarship recipient for a research stay at Karl Franzens University Graz (AT) and a John Templeton Foundation grantee, participating in the New Generation Research Exchange program exploring topics in philosophy, theology, science, and their relationships under the project "New Horizons for Science and Religion in Central and Eastern Europe." He completed his master's studies at the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo (supervisor Prof. Dr. Samir Arnautović), with a thesis on the relationship between the philosophy of religion and Immanuel Kant's epistemology (2018). He also completed his undergraduate studies at the same faculty (supervisor Prof. Dr. Nevad Kahteran), with a thesis on the relationship between aesthetics and Islam (2015). During his master's studies, he was a scholarship recipient for a research stay at the Institute of Arabic Language at IUM (KSA). His academic interests include the history of philosophy, metaphysics, ontology, logic, epistemology, philosophy of religion, philosophy of science, and aesthetics. (Last update: 2024)
